A delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s (VFF) Central Committee led by Vice President Le Ba Trinh are currently on a visit to Laos, from May 9-15, to boost ties with the neighbouring country.
On arrival in Vientiane , the delegation was received by the President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC), Phandouangchit Vongsa.
The LFNC leader thanked Vietnam for jointly coordinating the many activities during the 2012 Laos-Vietnam Year of Friendship and Solidarity.
He said that he hoped that both countries will strengthen cooperation and speed up the implementation of previously signed agreements, especially to inform both peoples of the special solidarity that exists between Vietnam and Laos .
He confirmed that the LFNC will do its utmost to preserve and promote the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Trinh stressed that the VFF always attaches a great importance to strengthening cooperation with the LFNC.
He said the VFF will work closely with their Lao counterparts to encourage the peoples of both countries to maintain security and order to ensure a peaceful and friendly border, helping to bring the special relationship to a new height.-VNA
