Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Ha Van Nui on Jan. 18 received Bishop Hoang Van Dat from Bac Ninh diocese, who paid him a visit on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
Nui said that over past years, Catholic followers nationwide, including Bac Ninh, have upheld the tradition of patriotism and enthusiastically taken part in national emulation and charitable movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
He expressed his wish that dignitaries of the Bac Ninh diocese continue encouraging Catholic believers to follow the Party and State’s guidelines, policies and the law, respect God, while joining hands with the entire nation to contribute to national development.
Bishop Dat expressed his wish that the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to develop its role as a common house for Vietnamese people’s groups and religions to unite for the cause of a strong country with rich people and a democratic, equitable and civilised society./.
