Hanoi (VNA) – The first-ever Vietnam DigitalAwards were presented at a ceremony in Hanoi on November 19, honouringorganisations and individuals excelling in providing or applying digitaltechnologies aimed to improve customers’ experience.

The award-winning products and services includethe Vi Viet digital banking service of LienVietPostBank, the QR MerchantManagement System of the Vietnam Payment Solution JSC, the Yolo digital bankingservice of VPBank, the VTVgo internet TV apps of the Vietnam Television, andthe FastGo.mobi ride-hailing app of the FastGo Vietnam Co. Ltd.

Launched in late June, the awards, organised bythe Vietnam Digital Communications Association, attracted 230 entries. 

Among the 34 winners, 16 are typical digitalproducts and services aiming at solving social issues, while the rest areoutstanding companies and individuals with strong digital transformation intheir activities.

Deputy Minister of Information andCommunications Nguyen Minh Hong, who also chairs the Vietnam DigitalCommunications Association, said the awards will be granted annually to honourand introduce prominent digital products and services to domestic and foreigncustomers. They are also meant to encourage enterprises in all fields to investin and apply digital technologies.

Also on November 19, a conference on theopportunities and challenges created by digital transformation along with aninternational exhibition on digital technologies were held as part of theawards.-VNA
