Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam InternationalLogistics Exhibition (VILOG) 2023, the first of its kind, will be held in HoChi Minh City from August 10-12.

Organised by the Vietnam Logistics BusinessAssociation (VLA) and Vinexad, under the direction of the Ministry of Industryand Trade (MoIT), the exhibition will gather leading names in the sector fromaround the world who come to exchange and catch up with the latest trend in the field.

Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Departmentat MoIT, said currently logistics enterprises have huge advantages asmanufacturing and trade activities both home and aboard of Vietnam have seen anupward trend over the past time. Besides, the participation of foreign logisticsservice providers will help local firms in the industry to have a better access tointernational solutions and market.

The event is expected to be a great opportunity fordomestic and international logistics service businesses as well as thecommunity of investors, developers, and other stakeholders to cooperate,consult, and identify solutions to optimise the procedures of enterprises.

Main categories at VILOG 2023 will include transportand forwarding, services and warehouse systems, packaging and cold chains, andlogistics IT, among others.

With some of 345 booths having been booked by over 250businesses from 22 countries and territories, the exhibition is expected toaffirm Vietnam’s position on the international logistics map.

Reputable foreign names in the field, including NipponExpress, UPR, Swisslog, CMA-CGM, Pacific Lines and JAS and domestic firms suchas Tan Cang Sai Gon, Viconship, Ratraco, VinaTech, ACT, will also takepart in the exhibition.

At VILOG 2023, technology enterprises such as Connexion, AhaMove – OnWheel, Samsung SDS, and EcoTruc will introduceinnovative products and services, promoting and improving efficiency of the logistics industry in Vietnam./.

Promoting high-quality rice exports amid mounting challenges

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), an estimated 600,000 tonnes of rice worth 370 million USD was exported in January, up 12.4% in volume and 16.9% in value year-on-year. The average export price reached 616.6 USD per tonne, up 4%.

Fuel prices rise sharply from 3 pm on March 7

Since the beginning of this year, domestic fuel prices have undergone 11 adjustments. During this period, both RON95 and E5 RON92 experienced four decreases and seven increases, while diesel oil two falls and nine hikes.

Capital’s fuel market remains stable after March 5 price adjustment

Operations at several petrol stations across Hanoi have run normally. Along major routes, petrol stations remained open and continued to serve customers as usual. The number of vehicles refueling showed no major changes compared to the days before the price adjustment. Sales activities continued without interruption, and there were no long queues or supply disruptions.

Lam Dong orders swift action to address IUU fishing gaps

FDI disbursement in Jan–Feb reaches five-year high

Middle East tensions likely to have moderate impact on Vietnam’s economy: VinaCapital

According to Michael Kokalari, Director of Macroeconomic Analysis and Market Research at VinaCapital, the conflict is unlikely to significantly affect Vietnam.
