The 10 hotels andresorts selected are incredibly diverse in form and unique in materialsand production techniques, providing guests with a tranquil and calmingtemporary residence.

Flamingo Dai Lai Resort was described as aresidential retreat for city dwellers to enjoy their weekends in a morenatural environment with cultural and sports events as well as highclass services.

In 2014, the complex also won a gold medal andthe Building of the Year title at the Architects Regional Council Asia(ARCASIA) Awards, the FuturArc Green Leadership Prize, the US’s GreenGood Design and International Architecture Awards for the two bamboostructures within it, Dai Lai conference hall and Bamboo Wing, bothdesigned by Vietnamese architect Vo Trong Nghia.

Located onehour away from Hanoi in northern Vinh Phuc province, Flamingo Dai LaiResort covers an area of 123ha in the middle of the forests between DaiLai Lake and surrounding mountains.

Other buildings in theresort include Hilltop, Bach Thanh and Forest Resorts, first classrestaurants, the biggest outdoor hot-water swimming pool in the northand a golf court which were recently available this year.-VNA
