Football: Vietnam wins AFC U14 girls' regional championship

Vietnam have become the champion of the AFC U14 Girls Regional Championship's ASEAN zone after thrashing Cambodia 7-0 in Ho Chi Minh City on June 23.

The girls placed on top of the zone with12 points after five matches, bagged the only ticket to the Asian U14Girls Championship.

The tournament's timetable and schedule has not been confirmed.

In other zones, India clinched the trophy for the South andCentral region during their competition in March. The West regionchampions were Jordan in April while the East title went to Chinaearlier this month.-VNA
