US motor giant Ford, through its branch TT Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI), has officially opened a new sales and distribution facility in Indonesia’s province of West Java.
The new outlet, Ford’s largest of its kind in ASEAN, is part of the firm’s strategic development plan to take advantage of opportunities and meet the strong consumption demand of Indonesia, which aims to outgo Thailand to become a leading auto market in ASEAN, said Ford ASEAN President Matt Bradley.
According to FMI managing director Bagus Susanto, the showroom of the new facility covers an area of 4,700 sq.m at the Bekasi industrial centre.
This outlet will open additional nine other showrooms on Java island to introduce Ford’s latest Fiesta, which will made its debut in the Indonesian market at the upcoming Motor Show in Jakarta in September.-VNA
