Four Vietnamese ground meat dishes rank highly in Asia

Bun cha (Grilled Pork Meatballs with Vermicelli Noodles,) bo la lot (Grilled minced beef wrapped in betel leaves), nem lui (Grilled Ground Pork on Lemongrass Skewers,) and banh mi thit vien (meatball banh mi) have been recognized as some of the best minced meat dishes in Asia by TasteAtlas, a leading global culinary travel guide.

In its latest rankings, TasteAtlas highlights the four Vietnamese specialties of bún chả (Grilled pork meatballs with vermicelli noodles,) bò lá lốt (Grilled minced beef wrapped in betel leaves), nem lụi (Grilled ground pork on lemongrass skewers,) and bánh mì thịt viên (meatball banh mi).

Bun cha, in particular, is noted for its unique flavor, landing at 17th place on the list.

Originating from Hanoi, bún chả consists of grilled meatballs, either plain or wrapped in betel leaves, served with a dipping sauce, rice noodles, and fresh herbs.
