The French Aéroports de Paris (ADP) Group hopes to be a capital strategic partner with Vietnam during the equitisation of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), said Augustin de Romanet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aéroports de Paris (ADP).
He made the statement during a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Transport on March 23 in Hanoi, Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper reported.
In its role as a strategic stakeholder, ADP will make a capital contribution worth 25 to 30 percent of the ACV value before the Initial Public Offering (IPO) is conducted, he said, adding that ADP and Credit Suisse, an international financial services group, will work with Ministry of Transport to mobilise 2.5 to 3 billion USD for the Long Thanh International Airport project.
The Transport Minister Dinh La Thang spoke highly of ADP’s interests, highlighting that the Ministry is working to complete ACV equitisation in the second quarter.
He also affirmed his support for cooperation with ADP while asking the French groups to work with the ACV and relevant agencies on specific issues, including procedures to become the strategic stakeholder and effectively implement Long Thanh International Airport project in line with legal regulations.
ADP owns and manages 14 civil airports and airfields in Paris. It is renowned both in France and abroad for its talent in airport design, management and operation.-VNA
