Hanoi (VNA) – Classical music aficionados in the metropolis city of Ho Chi Minh will have a chance to luxuriate in a “French Night Music” at the local Opera House on June 9.
The event is a collaboration between the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) and the French Consulate General, with the participation of well-known female French pianist Celiméne Daudet.
The pianist has won many prestigious international awards such as the Jean Francaix in Paris, the FNAPEC “Ensemble Music,” the Val d’Isère, the Pro Musicis international prize and the Spedidam prize.
She has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Châtelet Theatre in Paris. Celimene Daudet is the most expected pianist at concerts in France , Europe and North America .
In 2013, after the success of the record “Art of Fugue by J.S. Bach,” Celiméne Daudet went on a musical tour to promote this CD.
On the night, the audience will enjoy the works of two major French composers: Maurice Ravel and Cesar Franck, led by Tran Vuong Thach who is principal conductor and director of HBSO.-VNA
