FTA to intensify Vietnam-EEU ties: FM Spokesman

ForeignMinistry’s Spokesman Le Hai Binh responded to reporters’ queriesrelating to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s recently concludedofficial visit to Vietnam and the FTA, which was discussed at lengthduring the visit, at the ministry’s regular press conference on April 9.

Binh told the media that Vietnam and the EEUissued a joint statement on the conclusion of negotiations on theagreement in December last year and are looking to sign the documentwithin the first half of this year.

The partiesagreed on the basic contents of the agreement with a comprehensivescale, high commitment, equal benefits and specific conditions of eachparty included, he said.

The agreement willcreate a new market for Vietnamese products as well as open upopportunities to expand trade and investment between Vietnam and theunion’s State members of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, he added.-VNA

Retail petrol prices rise in November 13 adjustment
