Giant whale skeleton preserved

A 10-tonne whale skeleton will be displayed for tourists at a private tourism site in the southern province of Bac Lieu.
A 10-tonne whale skeleton will be displayed for tourists at a private tourism site in the southern province of Bac Lieu.

Accordingto Ngo Xuan Phan, Chairman of Bao Hoan Car Joint Stock Company'sexecutive board, the skeleton, which measures 33m long and 4m wide, wasbought from a fisherman in Phu Quoc Island, southern province of KienGiang.

It is said that the whale, weighing 100 tonnes, died some 60 years ago and was buried by local fishermen.

Becauseof its age, the buried skeleton was partly damaged. After beingrepaired, the skeleton will be displayed at Nha Mat Tourism Site.-VNA

Vietnam, Japan strengthen cooperation in leadership training

The society stressed that the ban is unilateral and unjustified; seriously infringes upon Vietnam’s sovereignty, rights and legitimate interests; violates international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS); and runs counter to the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC).

Child rights association puts online safety at forefront
