On the morning of November 7, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech at the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit in Kunming city, Yunnan province, China.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on November 8 visited the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park and welcomed an ASEAN express train from Hanoi, as part of his trip to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit and working visit to China.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh joined leaders of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and China as well as heads of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and regional and international organisations at the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit which opened in Kunming city in China’s Yunnan province on November 7.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masatsugu Asakawa in Kunming on November 6, within the framework of his attendance at the eighth Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit and working trip to China.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage offered flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at a historical relic site dedicated to the late Vietnamese leader in Kunming city, Yunnan province, on November 5, as part of their ongoing working visit to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit and hold bilateral activities in China.

Nobody is safe when there are still others contracted COVID-19 and no country is safe when other nations in the region and the world are still fighting against COVID-19, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said at the 7th GMS Summit held virtually on September 9.

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to the advancement of GMS Economic Cooperation Programme.

Vietnam has actively taken part in developing initiatives for enhanced cooperation within the GMS to boost economic growth, strengthen economic connectivity and aid poverty reduction effort in the region.

The Vietnamese Government is committed to strongly supporting the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Economic Cooperation Programme initiative, said Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.
