Green Economy Forum and Exhibition to be held in HCM City in November

The Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE 2022) is scheduled to take place from November 28-30 in Ho Chi Minh City, with conferences, exhibitions and dialogues, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) announced on May 24.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Green Economy Forum andExhibition (GEFE 2022) is scheduled to take place from November 28-30 in Ho ChiMinh City, with conferences, exhibitions and dialogues, the European Chamber ofCommerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) announced on May 24.

GEFE 2022 aims to help Vietnam fulfill itscommitments made at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties(COP26) in the UK last year, and its socio-economic development targets set inthe national strategy on green growth for 2021-2030.

It will bring together experts, scientists, studentsand governmental representatives from Europe, Vietnam and other Southeast Asiannations.

GEFE 2022 will also feature EuroCham Vietnam’s GreenBusiness Awards and annual Gala Dinner.

The event will be organised by EuroCham’s GreenGrowth Sector Committee with the support of the Delegation of the EuropeanUnion to Vietnam, EuroCham’s nine affiliated European businessassociations, European embassies and governmental organisations, as well as theVietnamese government and its ministries.

EuroCham Chairman Alain Cany said the event isexpected to serve as a platform to enhance cooperation between European and Vietnamesebusiness communities, and to promote a sustainable, green Vietnamese economythrough initiatives, expertise sharing, and technology transfer.

Each of GEFE 2022’s three days will entail paneldiscussions and seminars on energy and green financing on day one, waste treatment andsustainable development on day two, followed by innovation and entrepreneurship on thefinal day./.

Ho Chi Minh City pushes for full public investment disbursement
