Provinces from across the East-West Economic Corridor gathered at an international fair in Vietnam’s central province of Ha Tinh on July 18, seeking cooperation and investment.
The fair, which will run until July 24, is part of the 2013 national trade promotion year and is part of the implementation process for a Memorandum of Understanding agreed among nine provinces along the economic corridor which runs through Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
This year’s fair is the biggest-ever to be held in the province, with 500 stalls from 250 domestic and international businesses. A number of companies from the Republic of Korea and Chinese Taipei are also represented at the event.
A variety of activities are set to take place, including talks on supporting businesses and working sessions hosted by the provincial leaders with investors.-VNA
