Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,255 VND/USD on October 25, down 5 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,468 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,042 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw slight decreases.
At 8:29am, Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,227 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,467 VND/USD, both down 6 VND from October 24.
BIDV also raised the rates by 8 VND and 11 VND respectively, posting the buying rate at 25,233 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,473 VND/USD./.
