Traffic police in the northern province of Hai Duong have detained three people for illegally transporting two kilogrammes of drugs and 4,000 methamphetamine pills.

Hai Duong (VNA) - Traffic police in the northern province of HaiDuong have detained three people for illegally transporting two kilogrammes ofdrugs and 4,000 methamphetamine pills.

At 5pm on December 21, the police stopped a suspicious car on National Highway10 in Nguyen Giap commune, Tu Ky district, for inspection and found a backpackcontaining two kilogrammes of drugs and 20 plastic bags containing 4,000 tabletsof synthetic drugs.

The arrested were Tran Duc Phuong, born in 1989 and residing in Ngo Quyen, HaiPhong city; Nguyen Tuan Anh, born in 1987 and residing in Duong Kinh, Hai Phongcity; and Dang Duc Trung, born in 1962 and residing in Ngo Quyen, Hai Phongcity.

They initially confessed that they had been hired to transport the drugs to HaiPhong for sale.

This is the largest drug trafficking case that has been detected by Hai Duongpolice so far.

The transporters and all exhibits were handed over to investigation police.-VNA
