Hanoi calls for more contributions from young people

Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi held a meeting on Jan. 31 with 1,000 delegates representing tens of thousands of young party members in the capital city.

The event was part of activities to celebrate the 80 th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Addressing the meeting, Pham Quang Nghi, Secretary of Hanoi’s Communist Party, praised the capital’s youngsters, including the 1,000 most prominent party members, for their achievements and contributions to the construction of the capital and the party.

Nghi urged the participants to contribute more to the city, especially at this point in time when it is preparing for the great festival to mark its 1,000 th birthday.

The Hanoi ’s HCM Communist Youth Union took the occasion to present certificates of merit to 80 most excellent young party members who have made outstanding achievements in study and research./.
