The fifth International Puppetry Festival is taking place in Hanoi from October 8-15. It sees the participation of troupes from Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand, Wallonia-Brussels of Belgium, France, and Brazil.
The types of puppet shows performed in the festival include water puppet, shadow puppet, black puppet, hand puppet, and mask puppet.
The 45-minute show of each troupe is a combination of different kinds of puppetry such as water puppetry, and rode and string puppetry.
