Hanoi launches new tour, tourism product

Visitors to Hanoi will have a chance to experience the “golden tour” which was launched on October 10, connecting hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and the most popular tourist destinations in the capital city.

Hanoi (VNA) – Visitors to Hanoi will have a chance to experience the “golden tour”which was launched on October 10, connecting hotels, restaurants, shoppingcentres and the most popular tourist destinations in the capital city.

The tour is co-organised by Hanoitourist Corporation, the Centre for Culturaland Scientific Activities at Van Mieu (the Temple of Literature)-Quoc Tu Giam(the first university of Vietnam), and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

Hotels involved in the tour include Thang Long Opera Hanoi, Sofitel LegendMetropole Hanoi, Hotel De L’opera, Hilton Opera Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Melia Hanoi,Movenpick, Mercure and Eastin Easy GTC Hanoi.

The tour will bring holiday-makers to Hanoi Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake (SwordLake), Hoa Lo prison historical relic site, Quan Su Pagoda, Van Mieu-Quoc TuGiam, Ba Dinh Square, One-Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, President HoChi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace, Thang Long Royal Citadel andseveral museums.

A new tourism product was also introduced to the public the same day, aiming toexplore Vietnam’s traditional fondness of learning through paintings displayedat the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam and meetings withartisans and painters. Visitors will also learn how to make handicrafts at DongLac communal house at 38 Hang Dao street, Hanoi.

Ha Van Sieu, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration ofTourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, expressed his hopethat the new tour and tourism product will provide the best services forvisitors to Hanoi.

Hanoi welcomed almost 2.65 million foreign visitors in the firstnine months of 2017, up 27.6 percent as compared to the same period last year.

Thecapital city earned almost 53 trillion VND (2.33 billion USD) from tourismservices during the period.
