Topics 1 and 2 feature books, newspapers and documents affirming that the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President Ho Chi Minh was an important and decisive factor to the whole nation’s victory against the French colonialists. Topic 1 is themed “Party and President Ho Chi Minh’s sound leadership in the national resistance war against the French colonialists”. Topic 2’s theme is “Hanoi during the historical autumn”. Topic 3, themed “President Ho Chi Minh’s sentiment toward Hanoians,” introduces works showing the beloved President’s concerns about the Party, authorities and people of Hanoi. From 1945 to 1969, the President wrote 73 articles dedicated to the capital and the people of Hanoi. Hanoi is also the place to mark important milestones in the career of President Ho Chi Minh. The city’s "Good People, Good Deeds" programme was launched by Hanoi’s authorities 30 years ago to promote the long-lasting tradition of helping needy people in the city. It has become a signature movement of Hanoi. Nearly 30,000 people have been awarded the title of “Good People, Good Deeds” over the last three decades while 119 others have been honoured as the capital’s outstanding citizens.
