Hanoi's consumer price index (CPI) in November increased by 0.29 percent against last month and 18.49 percent over the same period last year, the Hanoi Statistics Office announced on Nov. 21.
This was the first time since June 2011 the city’s year-on-year CPI growth has been less than 20 percent.
This month, nine out of 11 commodities groups saw slight price increases, ranging from 0.25 percent to 0.88 percent.
The two other groups, including transportation, and post and telecommunications services, enjoyed price falls of 0.23 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively.
Gold price in Hanoi was up 0.11 percent against last month and 32.62 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile the respective increases for the US dollar were 0.68 percent and 2.26 percent./.
