Hanoi (VNA) –
Chairman of the Hanoi People’sCommittee Nguyen Duc Chung on March 13 ordered a temporary closure of the historicalrelics in both urban and suburban areas, and a halt of the operation of the barsand karaoke parlours as well as music programmes until the end of March.

At a session of the municipal steering committee on thefight against the COVID-19, the official also asked hotels and other accommodationfacilities to provide information on their customers, especially those fromepidemic-hit regions starting from March 1, in an effort to intensify thefight.

He highlighted that in order to contain the spread of thedisease, the city is mobilising the whole political system into the work so asto minimise the number of infection cases, prepare all the material necessitiesand push up the communications work.

The central districts, especially Hoan Kiem, are facing veryhigh risks as they are frequented by foreign tourists, that is why locals needto refrain from crows and salespersons need to wear face masks and keep a safe distancefrom customers, Chung specified.

The municipal Department of Tourism was assigned to workwith their peers in other localities to work out options aimed at reducing therisks, and the Department of Health instructed to prepare essential equipment.Meanwhile, offices, stations and public places must be sterilised./.

Second government legislation meeting reviews draft bills
