The display was divided into two sub-themes, ‘Enduring Revolution’ and ‘Historic Triumph’.
The first space is dedicated to pictures and archives on the 60-day struggle of the Vietnamese People’s Army and Hanoi citizens. Together, they defended the capital and responded to President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for a national resistance war against the French colonialists.
Meanwhile, the second space reminds audiences of the critical junctures that defines Vietnam’s triumphs over the French.
They include Dien Bien Phu Victory that forced the French to sign the Geneva Accord, through which they pledged to withdraw troops from the North of Vietnam, and the images of Vietnamese People’s Army marching to the capital on October 10th, 1954.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, delegations joined each other in meaningful activities to pay tribute to war heroes, such as offering incense to war martyrs.
They also attended a flag salute ceremony, joined an enactment of the Lunar New Year festival in Hoa Lo Prison during the war against French, and many other events.
Stories and images discussed at the exhibition have left bold imprints on audience and inspired their patriotism.
The exhibition is scheduled until December 31, 2023./.
