Hanoi’s past and present beauty through “ao dai” collection
Designers Dung Nguyen and Thach Linh have introduced a collection of “ao dai” (Vietnamese traditional dress) to the public that depict the beauty of Hanoi in the past and present. The designs aim to showcase the capital’s rich cultural heritage to international visitors.

Designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam has created many famous collections of ao dai (Vietnam’s national dress) that inspire the community. He also works with the Vietnam Women’s Union to provide vocational training and improve ao dai sewing techniques.
The Hanoi Tourism Ao dai Festival 2023 took place in the pedestrian area of Hoan Kiem Lake on October 27-29, promoting the elegant beauty of the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) and Hanoi's tourism.
The Hanoi Ao dai Festival has been held recently in Hanoi, featuring exciting activities to honour Vietnam’s traditional outfit. Notably, a procession of Vietnamese youngsters dressed in ancient five-part ao dai dating back to the country’s Nguyen dynasty dazzled pedestrians around Hoan Kiem lake. The event was initiated by young enthusiasts of the national dress.
