Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Le Manh Ha hosted a reception on April 9 for visiting Vice President of France’s Rhone-Alpes region Louis Gagnaire.
At the meeting, Ha said the cooperation between the two localities is very important to Ho Chi Minh City as the Rhone-Alpes region has experiences in developing many industries that would be useful for the Vietnamese city.
He named urban management, food processing, clean energy and electronic chip manufacturing as the possible areas for cooperation.
Gagnaire said that the Rhone-Alpes region always pays attention to expanding investment in many regions worldwide, including Ho Chi Minh City, adding that the recent opening of an office of Enterprises Rhone-Alpes International (ERAI) in the city will help increase cooperation between the two sides’ businesses.
In the time to come, along with existing cooperative projects in culture, science-technology, education-training and urban planning, the two localities will expand ties to new areas of food processing, food hygiene and safety, electronic chip and energy saving.-VNA
