- Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and a delegation of National Assembly deputies of the northern province of Hung Yen met with voters in Van Giang district on October 17, ahead of the 15th NA’s upcoming eighth session.

At the meeting, Lam provided an update on the country's recent political and socio-economic situation, stressing that Vietnam is on a path of rapid and sustainable growth, with robust national defence. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has extended his greetings to the staff and students of the Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA), officials of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), and women nationwide on the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20).

- Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi met with the World Bank (WB)’s Human Development team in Hanoi on October 17 to discuss cooperation in building a programme supporting early childhood education reform for 2023-2030.

Chi expressed gratitude for the bank’s contributions to education and training in Vietnam, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas. - Vietjet launched its first flights using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from Tan Son Nhat Airport on October 17, flying to Melbourne and Seoul, marking a step towards sustainability in Vietnam's aviation sector.
