About 150 Vietnamese businesses, mostly from Ho Chi Minh City , are introducing their products at a trade fair-exhibition on the Koh Pich island of Cambodia .
Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An and Trade Minister Cham Prasidh attended the event’s opening ceremony on April 6.
On the first day of the five-day Expo, thousands of Cambodian people visited the Expo’s 290 pavilions to see Ho Chi Minh City’s achievements as well as Vietnamese processed food, household utensils, farm products and apparels.
The Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2011 is held under the theme “Vietnamese Products-More Choices-Increased Trust” following the success of last year’s event held in Phnom Penh .
Trade fairs, which become part of traditional economic and commercial exchange between Vietnam and Cambodia, have been held by Ho Chi Minh City over the past 10 years./.
