Hanoi (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City hopes to collaborate with Denmark in climate change prevention, green agriculture and food safety, said Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dinh La Thang on July 12.
The city’s leader made the statement during his reception for Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Charlotte Laursen.
At the meeting, Ambassador Laursen expressed her delight at the dynamic and robust development of Ho Chi Minh City which is the explanation for the increasing number of Danish investors in the city.
Thang said along with the economic growth, Ho Chi Minh City has to confront many challenges, particularly climate change, pollution and administrative reform.
He proposed the two sides to cooperate in the mentioned fields which Denmark has great advantages in to help the city deal with these issues.
The same day, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Thang had a meeting with chief representative of the Japan-based Aeon Group in Vietnam Nagahisa Oyama and outgoing Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Camilla Mellander.-VNA
