President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association – HCM City chapter Huynh Cach Mang (Source: VNA) HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisation – Ho Chi Minh City chapter held a get-together on November 27 to mark Laos’ 45th National Day.
Congratulating Lao Party, Government and people on their achievements over the past 45 years, President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association – HCM City chapter Huynh Cach Mang affirmed that Vietnam and Laos are close neighbours which have stood shoulder-to-shoulder through different revolutionary periods.
Based on the close relationship between the two countries, the cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Lao localities has deepened with diverse activities.
Mang affirmed that his association will continue doing its utmost to expand Vietnam’s collaboration with Laos so as to nurture the bilateral relations.
Deputy Consul General of Laos in HCM City Vanxay Xaysena briefed participants on major achievements that the Lao people have gained over the past 45 years, affirming that the achievements have been partly attributable to the support of the Vietnamese Party, Government and people.
He pledged to, together with Vietnamese people, exert efforts to maintain and develop the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam, for the interests of the two peoples and for peace, cooperation and progress in the region and the world./.
