HCM City looks to more firms on price stabilisation list

Commercial banks are considering granting loans to businesses that take part in Ho Chi Minh City’s price stabilisation programme, according to the city’s Department of Industry and Trade.
Commercial banks are considering granting loans to businesses that takepart in Ho Chi Minh City’s price stabilisation programme, accordingto the city’s Department of Industry and Trade.

Five banks,Agribank, Eximbank, Sacombank, the BIDV and Vietinbank, are the firstcommercial banks to participate in the programme, which runs form April 1to March 31 next year.

In previous years, the businesses taking part in the programme received interest free loans from the city.
In the next 10 days, Agribank plans to disburse 151.87 billion VND(7.25 million USD) in short and medium term loans to three enterprises.

Sacombank is currently appraising loan applications from anumber of companies. They have applied for total loans of 258.6 billionVND (12.3 million USD).

Similarly, Eximbank and Vietinbank are reviewing loan applications.

The city will subsidise the participating companies’ investments in technology and expansion of breeding farms.

It will also provide the companies with free advertising and subsidies to improve distribution networks.-VNA

Vietnam tightens rules on corporate bond issuance

Under Decree No 200/2026/ND-CP, enterprises issuing bonds will continue to operate under the principle of self-borrowing, self-repayment and self-responsibility, meaning issuers are fully accountable for the efficiency of capital use, debt repayment capacity and any disputes arising from bond issuance, use of funds, and payment of principal and interest.

The resolution encourages a wide range of cultural, artistic and tourism activities, including performances, exhibitions, film screenings, presentations of traditional and intangible cultural heritage, and other programmes held in public spaces, pedestrian streets, heritage sites, theatres, cinemas and cultural venues.

Vietnam, ADB to advance strategic projects with strong economic impact

Exports gain momentum from high-tech growth drivers

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam’s exports reached 215.66 billion USD in the first five months of 2026, up 19.5% year-on-year. Twenty-six export items generated more than 1 billion USD in revenue each, including seven with turnover exceeding 10 billion USD.
