HCM City plans to build smart apps for administrative procedures

All administrative units of Ho Chi Minh City need to build applications (apps) so that local people could access information via their smart devices, said Tran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee.

HCM City (VNA) –All administrative units of Ho Chi Minh City need to build applications (apps)so that local people could access information via their smart devices, saidTran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee.

Tuyen made the requestduring a conference held on January 9 to roll out administrative reform tasks inHCM City in 2018.

Information on administrativeprocedures should be provided to people in a new and prompt manner, in linewith the current trend of technology advances, he said, adding that agenciesshould work to introduce administrative procedures via apps on smart devices.

Tuyen told participants thatin 2017, about 92 percent of HCM City’s agencies met the government’srequirements to devise administrative management plans and the city aims tohave all agencies met the requirements this year.

Local authorities will focuson implementing Resolution 54 on special mechanisms and policies in terms of apparatus,land management, investment and finance-state budget, he said.

HCM City will form inter-sectoralworking groups on investment and construction to ensure right procedures, alongwith a group managing public debts.

In 2018, the city sets the goalof increasing people’s and businesses’ satisfaction about administrative unitsand the rate of documents handled through the electronic single-window stood atmore than 90 percent.-VNA
