HCM City prepares for 2015 Vietnam Food Expo

The Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2015 (2015 Vietnam Food Expo) will be held from May 13-16 in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), under the Ministry of Trade.

The event is expected to feature 500 boothsdisplaying various food and beverages, and packaging technology from 15countries and territories.

According to Deputy Director ofVietrade Ta Hoang Linh, the 2015 Vietnam Food Expo will be an effectiveand high-profile bridge connecting Vietnamese manufacturers andagricultural product traders with domestic distributors and retailers aswell as foreign importers.

The event looks to drivetechnological innovation and improve labour productivity to enhance thecompetitiveness of the country’s agricultural industry , he added.

Numerousprogrammes and activities will also be held during the four-dayevent, including the International Vietnam Food Industry Conference, aninternational cooking competition, and other trade promotion activities.

Banks need to promote data analysis to minimise financial crime

The SBV has also recently issued Decision No. 67/QD-NHNN on a digital transformation project aimed at deploying core utilities for the development of the banking sector, ensuring connection with Project 06.
