HCM City spends 40 million USD on Tet caring for disadvantaged people

Ho Chi Minh City will spend over 900 billion VND (40 million USD) on Tet caring for disadvantaged households and policy beneficiaries.


According to a plan issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, war veterans, seriously wounded soldiers, Vietnamese heroic mothers and families of fallen soldiers will receive gifts worth from 1.7 million VND to 3.1 million VND/each.

Meanwhile, poor households will receive gifts worth 1.25 million VND/each.

People with disabilities and elder people over 80 years old will be presented gifts worth 1.15 million VND/each.

Besides, the city will present gifts valued at 1.5 million VND/each to officials and civil servants./.
