HCM City (VNA) – Police of Binh Tan district in Ho Chi Minh City on June 18 began criminal proceedings against a man and a woman for “resisting on-duty officers.”
They are Pham Thi Thu Thuy, born in 1974, from the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, and Le Trong Nghia, born in 1987, from the Mekong Delta province of Long An. Both are workers of Pou Yuen Vietnam Co., Ltd.
On June 11, Thuy and Nghia joined crowds in the company to throw rocks to on-duty mobile police. The workers confessed that they took the action following others without knowing the reasons. At the investigation agency, both showed repentance.
