Hanoi (VNA) – An agreement on scientific cooperation in the field of culture was signed between representatives of the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Ben Gurion Heritage Institute of Israel via a video conference on September 8.
Under the agreement, in the 2020-2022 period, the two sides will coordinate to implement scientific and cultural research projects in the field of museum study, share experience and exchange delegations in the fields of museum, relic site and exhibition related to the biography, life and career of President Ho Chi Minh and Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion.
In 2021, they will jointly organise an exhibition at the Ben Gurion Heritage Institute in Israel and an exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Vietnam.
Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Vu Manh Ha affirmed that the signing of the agreement helps strengthen relations between the two agencies, as well as expand scientific and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Israel.
He expressed his belief that the agreement will offers a great chance for Vietnamese and Israeli people to get an insight into the two great leaders, thus further promoting mutual understanding between the two nations' people.
According to Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar, the cooperation will contribute to helping the Israeli and Vietnamese people to understand more about the special relationship between President Ho Chi Minh and PM Ben Gurion as well as history of the two countries.
The connection between the people of Vietnam and Israel was formed and built by President Ho Chi Minh and Israel's first PM Ben Gurion. They met by chance in Paris, France, in 1946 and friendly exchanged views on the path to freedom of each country.
Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1993, relations between Vietnam and Israel has recorded fruitful development in many fields, including culture./.
