Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee (CPV) Dinh The Huynh received a Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) delegation in Hanoi on Feb. 23.
SPD delegation head Achim Post, head of the SPD’s International Politics Department spoke highly of the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries.
He affirmed that the SPD, as an important party in Germany ’s political arena, will continue to boost a long-term and sustainable relationship with the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Huynh, director of the CPV Central Committee’s Populatisation and Education Commission, expressed his joy at the positive progress in the Vietnam-Germany relationship as well as the relationship between the CPV and SPD.
He said Vietnam attached importance to its strategic partnership with Germany and expressed his wish for further exchanges between the two countries.
He said the two countries should make the most of their first theoretical dialogue on the topic of sustainable development and prepare for the second on human resources development and renewable energies slated to take place in Germany this year.
Earlier, the SPD delegation held talks with the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations and working sessions with the Central Theoretical Council, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee.-VNA
