The All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation and the Vietnamese Embassy in India got together on May 17 to celebrate the 122 nd birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh.
At the event were several senior Indian officials, staff from the Vietnamese embassy and representatives from a number of other foreign embassies plus members of the Vietnamese community in India .
When speaking at the meeting, Vietnam ’s Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Tan gave a presentation on the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.
Tan said that President Ho Chi Minh will always be a shining example for future Vietnamese generations to follow and the president’s spirit is, and always will be alive forever in the minds and hearts of the Vietnamese people.
The ambassador also pointed to the traditional friendship between Vietnam and India , which has been developed and nurtured by generations of Vietnamese and Indian officials.
Indian officials praised President Ho Chi Minh for leading the Vietnamese revolution as well as for supporting revolutionary movements around the world.
They also underlined the friendly relations between the two countries during the wars of resistance against aggressors and diplomatic relations at present.-VNA
