Ho Tay Half Marathon returns

Hanoi (VNA) - The Ho Tay Half Marathon – Legend Race will featuremore than 3,000 entrants, competing around Hanoi’s West Lake on April 17.

The tournament, sponsored by BIM Group, has been cancelled twice in 2021because of the pandemic.

Runners will race in different courses: 3km for Kids and Family; a 6km HappyRun, 15km Conquer the West Lake; and a 21km Half Marathon, all designed to giveparticipants the best experience of the lake’s historical and cultural relicsand ancient structures such as Tran Quoc Pagoda, and the Tay Ho and Quan Thanhtemples.

The marathon was first organised in 2020 and lured several professionalathletes such as national 10,000m champion Pham Thi Le Hong, as well as SEAGames winners Nguyen Thi Oanh and Do Quoc Luat.

Pham Duy Cuong, the representative of the Ho Tay Half Marathon, introduced thefour courses during a press briefing on April 8 in Hanoi.

They were registered to race in 2021 but failed to run as it was delayed untilthis April while they are in intensive training in Hue in preparation for theupcoming Southeast Asian Games.

However, organisers said national youth team runners would participate in theevent.

The tournament is one of the activities held to promote sports and encouragepeople to run for better health and fitness.

According to Vietnam Customs, bilateral trade reached 59.43 million USD in the first nine months of 2026, up 9.7% year-on-year. Vietnam’s exports totalled 45.47 million USD, an increase of 10.2%, while imports from Tunisia stood at 13.96 million USD, up 8.3%.

November 24, 2026 marks the first Vietnamese Culture Day, meant to put the Politburo’s Resolution 80-NQ/TW on cultural development into practice. Po Klong Garai: Cham towers preserving centuries of history

The complex comprises three main structures: the Chinh (Main) Tower, Cong (Gate)Tower and Lua (Fire) Tower. The Main Tower stands about 20.5 metres tall, featuring a square base and tiered roofs that narrow towards the top. The Fire Tower, with its distinctive boat-shaped curved roof, adds a contrasting feature to the ensemble. Columns, niches, lotus motifs and decorative patterns adorn the brick walls.
