Hoang Sa, Truong Sa exhibition comes to Hoa Binh

A collection of objects and documents affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos are being on display in Lac Thuy district, the northern province of Hoa Binh.

Hoa Binh (VNA) – A collection of objects anddocuments affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and TruongSa (Spratly) archipelagos are being on display in Lac Thuy district, thenorthern province of Hoa Binh.

The exhibits include 171 documents in Nom (Vietnameseideographic script) issued by Vietnamese feudal states from the 16th to 19thcentury, particularly those from the Nguyen Dynasty, which showed Vietnam earlyestablished and exercised sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

Administrative documents issued between 1954 and 1975 underthe South Vietnam Government at the time also affirmed the country’sestablishment, exercise and protection of its sovereignty over the archipelagos.

The exhibition features 65 maps certifying that the Hoang Saand Truong Sa archipelagos belong to Vietnam, published by Western nationssince the 17th century.
