Hoanh Mo - Dong Zhong Border Gate to open this month

Authorities of Binh Lieu and Hai Ha districts in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh and Fang Cheng Zone in China’s Guangxi province have agreed to hold a ceremony to mark the official opening of Hoanh Mo - Dong Zhong Border Gate pair this month.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Authorities of Binh Lieu and Hai Ha districts in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Fang Cheng Zone in China’s Guangxi province have agreed to hold a ceremony to mark the official opening of Hoanh Mo - Dong Zhong Border Gate pair this month.

At their talks on May 9, representatives from the localities agreed that the opening ceremony is of significance in terms of politics, economy, and culture of the Vietnamese and Chinese localities where the border gate pair is located.

The participating parties agreed to focus on promoting the results of traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China, as well as between Quang Ninh province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, including Binh Lieu and Hai Ha district, and China’s Fang Cheng Zone in Fang Cheng Gang city. The goal is to build a border of peace, stability, friendship, cooperation, and development. They will also promote border trade via the Hoanh Mo - Dong Zhong border gate pair and the Bac Phong Sinh – Lihe crossing.

At the end of the talks, the parties expressed their goodwill and determination to coordinate in promptly implementing agreed work to further improve the quality and efficiency of border gate management and trade./.
