Hanoi (VNA) - French photographer Réhahn, based in Hoi An ancient townin the central province of Quang Nam, is among nine nominees for Trophées desFrancais de l’étranger.

Organised annually by the prestigious French daily newswebsite  lepetitjournal.com since 2013, Trophées des Francais del’étranger is awarded to French expatriates with successful projects oroutstanding achievements abroad. The jury of the trophy includes leaders ofmajor political, economic and media organisations in France.

Réhahn, who has interacted with nearly all Vietnamese ethnic minorities and hasopened his private museum dedicated to their traditional costumes in Hoi An,got nominated for his Precious Heritage Project, which aims to capture imagesand document stories of different Vietnamese cultures, particularly those ofthe smallest ethnic groups left in the country.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Quai d’Orsay, Paris, in March.-VNA
