Hue invests 9 billion VND in restoring traditional trade villages

The People’s Committee of central Thua Thien- Hue province has decided to invest 9 billion VND to restore and develop its traditional trade villages between 2014 and 2015.
The People’s Committee of central Thua Thien- Hue province has decidedto invest 9 billion VND to restore and develop its traditional tradevillages between 2014 and 2015.

Apart from creating jobsand improving labourers’ income for the local people, traditional tradevillages help preserve Hue cultural identity and contribute to boostprovincial tourism industry.

In the next two years, theprovince will focus on enhancing production capacity of trade villagesand small scale industries, improving product designs and creating newproducts to meet market demand.

The province will also offermanagement and business skills courses for of production establishmentsand enterprises. Besides this, the province will promote marketing andplan to create 1500 new jobs in rural areas.

In 2013, theCentre for Industrial Encouragement and Trade Promotion under theprovincial Department of Industry and Trade has carried out 31projects to foster industrial development in the locality, thus bringingjobs to about 2,500 labourers. Many incentives have been offered toenterprises and production units to help them expand production andbusiness.

Thua Thien- Hue has over 200 traditional trade villages including 88 handicraft villages.-VNA

Tourism boom takes hold in newly-expanded Ho Chi Minh City
