Important issues to be tabled at NA’s eighth sitting next week

Lawmakers will enter the second working week of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s eight sitting from October 28 to November 1, with various important issues on the agenda.

Hanoi (VNA) – Lawmakers will enter the second working week of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s eight sitting from October 28 to November 1, with various important issues on the agenda.

They will spend most of the time of October 28 discussing at the hall the report of the NA’s supervisory delegation and the parliament’s draft resolution on the results of the thematic oversight on the implementation of policies and laws regarding real estate market management and social housing development from 2015 to the end of 2023. The session will be broadcast live on various television and radio channels.

During the week, the legislators will also look into the draft law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People’s Army; the draft Law on Value-added Tax (revised); the draft Law on Public Investment (revised); and the draft law amending several articles of the Law on Securities, the Law on Accounting, the Law on Independent Audit, the Law on State Budget, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Law on Tax Management, and the Law on National Reserves.

The draft law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Planning, the Law on Investment, the Law on Public-Private Partnership Investment, and the Law on Bidding; the draft Law on People’s Air Defence; and the draft law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Health Insurance; and the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Search and Rescue will be also high on the agenda.

Additionally, the lawmakers will opine on the draft resolution on piloting the settlement of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution and trial of several criminal cases; the draft resolution on the organisation of the urban administration in Hai Phong city; the establishment of Hue as a centrally-run city; and the investment plan for the national target programme on cultural development for the 2025-2035 period./.
