Imprints of Champa culture in ancient capital of Hue

The central province of Thua Thien - Hue preserves many unique Champa cultural relics, rich in artistic diversity and significant in terms of aesthetics. The cultural heritages not only reflect a period of the land’s history, but also hold an important part in Hue's cultural identity.

The Lieu Coc Twin Towers, a national relic located in Huong Xuan ward, Huong Tra town, is a typical religious structure of Champa culture.

Following many excavations, the National Museum of History and the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien - Hue have recently announced new findings related to the site.

Thua Thien - Hue is home to 44 Champa-related relics, including temples, towers, and ancient wells. Over 250 Champa artifacts have been cataloged and documented.

Although most Champa relics have deteriorated, many artifacts remain scattered across different organizations, and efforts in preservation and research have been insufficient.

Thua Thien - Hue is among localities being home to many elements of Champa culture. By promoting Champa heritages, the province can enrich its tourism offerings, while bettering the conservation of local heritages./.
