New Delhi (VNA) – India is working closely with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to foster regional relationships.
Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh made the statement while attending the second conference on ASEAN – India Cultural and Civilisation Links on January 19 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
He noted that this year will see a series of events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the ASEAN – India dialogue partnership (1992-2017), including Ministerial Meetings and Summit Meetings.
Singh applauded the ASEAN-India centre for supporting the ASEAN – India dialogue partnership.
He also added that India’s Act East Policy with a focus on ASEAN-India relations aims to deepen cooperation between the country and Southeast Asian nations.-VNA
