Indonesia: Bridge collapse kills two

A bridge in East Java province of Indonesia collapsed on April 17, killing at least two people.
Jakarta (VNA) – A bridge in East Java province of Indonesia collapsed on April 17, killing at least two people.

According to the spokesman of Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Authority Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, three trucks and one motorbike plunged into the river when the bridge in Tuban sub-district suddenly fell down.

Rescuers discovered two corpses of the drivers being trapped inside the damaged trucks, he said.

However, the spokesman did not provide further information about the other drivers of the vehicles and the rider of the motorcycle.

Search and rescue operation for the victims of the incident is underway.-VNA
