Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno announced on May 13 that he had instructed relevant agencies to pay special attention to travel companies and drivers to ensure traffic safety.

His advice came amid a series of tragic traffic accidents causing casualties and property damage.

Uno said his ministry has coordinated with other ministries to enhance the dissemination of traffic safety information to the tourism transport sector.

According to the minister, all transportation and tourism establishments must have the required certifications issued by the Ministry of Transportation to join transport activities. Indonesia is also aiming for a healthy, safe, and eco-friendly tourism industry./.
