International tourist arrivals to Hanoi rise by 52.6% in H1

Hanoi served over 14 million holidaymakers in the first half of 2024, including 3.14 international tourists, up 13.7% and 52.6% compared to the same period last year, respectively.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi served over 14 million holidaymakers in the first half of 2024, including 3.14 international tourists, up 13.7% and 52.6% compared to the same period last year, respectively.

According to the municipal Department of Tourism, total revenue from tourism activities in the period was estimated at over 55.38 trillion VND (2.17 billion USD), marking a year-on-year increase of 22.8%.

The capital city welcomed 2 million domestic tourists and 496,000 foreign visitors in June alone, up 12.5% and 55.9% year-on-year, respectively, raking in a combined revenue of 9.53 trillion VND (over 374.4 million USD).

Last month, the average hotel room occupancy rate reached 66%, 1.3% higher than the figure in May, and up 0.1% compared to the same period in 2023./.
