The 17th international news agencies and media exhibition opened in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Oct. 26, drawing the participation of 175 news agencies and journals from 55 countries including Vietnam News Agency.
According to the Iran ’s Ministry of Culture, the annual exhibition aims to expand cultural relations between the international press and news agencies and promote an interaction among them.
Through signing bilateral agreements and exchanging viewpoint on key issues of common concern in the region and the world, media and news agencies can establish their long-term cooperation relations, said the ministry.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Iranian Minister of Culture Sayed Mohamad Husseini called upon regional countries to enhance information cooperation with Iran .
The exhibition will be opened until November 1./.
